O.T. PARENT COACH

My PhilOsOpHy

I believe parents are the true experts when it comes to their children. My goal is to listen to you and understand the unique challenges you face so we can create an action plan that makes a difference for your family.

I approach this work with compassion and a strong foundation of knowledge, drawing from the latest research in child development and brain science. Whether you're seeking a deeper understanding of how your child's sensory processing challenges are impacting them functionally and how to help, or advice on how to support your child in learning and implementing self-regulation skills, I'm here to lend an experienced hand.

Every family is unique, so I tailor our strategies to align with your family's individual needs. My goal is to help you feel empowered to find more joy and peace on your journey through parenthood.

I offer online Telehealth sessions, so we can connect from the comfort of your own home. I'm here to make this journey as warm, approachable, and supportive as possible.

  • What is an OT Parent Coach?
As you've probably already found, there's a huge need for pediatric occupational therapy and not enough therapists to fulfill this need. This has caused some enormous waitlists to get children into treatment. As an OT Parent Coach I can help bridge the gap by offering education and strategies that helps caretakers better support the needs of their children before, during or even after your child has participated in occupational therapy.
  • How many sessions will I need?
In our first therapy session we'll go over your intake in detail, identify challenges, and we can discuss the number of sessions I feel we will need to meet your goals. Some family's are interested in ongoing support, others have a specific set of challenges that we can generally address in a few sessions, but the number of meetings is completely in your hands. I'm here as a resource to serve you and your family, and we can always prioritize your top challenge. However, as a rule of thumb we typically have time to address and create a meaningful action plan for one (or at maximum two) challenges per meeting.
  • Do you accept Insurance?
I do not accept insurance and only offer my services out of pocket. However, I am happy to provide you a Superbill for potential insurance reimbursement.
  • How much does it cost?
After our initial free consultation there's a one time evaluation fee of $240, which includes a comprehensive Care Plan. During this session, we'll review your intake and set goals, which be used to create a Plan of Care. After that all sessions are billed at $140 for 50 minutes.
  • Will you work directly with my child
While I possess years of experience working directly with children, my current focus is on providing Parent Consultations. This practice was established to address the needs of parents seeking education and support while their child is on a waitlist, currently undergoing therapy, or has completed therapy. This service is designed to complement the one-on-one support your child receives.
